Every so often, there is a Kismet event that leaves the audience smiling and happy with a Kismet “glow” that reminds of us of why we choose to be here.  Friday night’s production of “15 Minutes of Fame, produced by the Kismet Kronicle (Sam and Gracie Wood and Casey Licari)  the latest and one of the greatest of these events.

THE FILM
The film consisted of edited pieces of video submitted by community members.  It was accompanied by continuous laughter and applause as people were recognized and memories awakened.  The SRO audience response was incredibly phenomenal as Facebook postings and word of mouth can attest. Glasses were raised in a toast as Joyce's picture appeared.

The film was followed by a series of presenters of Oscar Awards.

THE AWARDS

John presented an Oscar to Erin Wahlberg for the “Shortest Appearance” at a rock concert.

New homeowners Dennis and Chris presented the” Most Political” award to Krisha as she made her views known to a U.S. Cabinet Member on a visit who referred to “crime ridden” Central Islip -- “He probably never heard of the place before.”

The Chiros, Linda and Janet presented the” Best Interview” performance to Frank Bolton who was taped promoting the Ducks stadium.

Neal Mandel presented the “Best Actress” award to Cindy Lou Adams for a very interesting nightclub performance.

Sam described the final two awards as “Kismet-type”.

 Notes from Sam:

People have been texting me, emailing me every 10 seconds, even writing letters.  Here are some of the comments

"Kismet 'Woodstock'", "You put Kismet back together again", "Kismet's love fest", "Epic", "Historic ","Kismet Pep Rally", "People are really appreciative. Thank you for this".

My family and I are really appreciative of all the business you have given me. I wanted to give something back.

We needed this.
